Because This Is My First Life


Marriage... what this word really means to an individual? For some it is love, for some it is binding between 2 people where they lose their independence and make sacrifice,  for some it is living upto expectations of in laws while for some it means starting a family and having kids. 

The drama starts with a simple theme where Se-hee has purchased a house and is looking for a tenant to pay off his house  mortgage.  Ji-ho is a writer who has recently left her job as an assistant writer and looking out for a house. They find each other as dependable and ideal landlord-tenant and start staying under the same roof. 

To avoid societal pressure and ire, they decide to get married and enter into a tenant marriage contract. But the life is not that simple. When 2 people come together, they do not come alone but their entire life with their past and future also comes with them. 

Though the drama starts with typical theme of contract marriage, in the later half it goes much beyond contract marriage, love or romance. The drama ponders on careers, relationships,  love and marriage. It makes you pause for a moment and think on what each of these terms mean to you. The drama turned out to be good beyond my expectations.
