My Girlfriend is an Alien - Season 1

The idea of presence of aliens in this universe has always attracted human race. There is always curiosity about UFOs, spaceships, how aliens look, what they eat, how scientifically advanced they are... You are in for all these things if you watch C-Drama "My Girlfriend is an Alien" though this is not really a sci-fi drama. This is a funny romcom. The drama has 2 seasons. However, in this post I will be talking only about season 1. 

Fang Leng, mighty Vice President of Future group is a very able, successful and overbearing business man. He has heterosexual  Amnesia and forgets females he has met in recent past after rainstorm. In one of such rain storms he meets with a serious accident. An alien stranded girl saves him during fatal accident. She loses her communication device during the process and is stranded on the earth. 

This alien girl assumes a name Chai Xiao Qui in this drama and becomes a delivery girl in a restaurant. She gets easily attracted by handsome faces, chiselled muscles and male harmones. Her reactions to perfectly ordinary situations are quite quirky. She finds it difficult to understand human behaviour. 

Fang Leng has a step brother Fang Lie. Fang Lie is a painter. He is friendly, easy-go-lucky kind of person. Fang Lie and Xiao Qui become friends instantly. Jiang Xue is a beautiful and capable business woman who has fallen in love with Fang Leng since her school days. We have Mr Han (Fang Leng's assistant), Doctor Zhang (a psychological doctor) and Miss Chai (who has given shelter to Xiao Qui) l, Kubri (high end robot turned into tortoise on earth) who add to the spice and fun of the drama. And of course there is a villain. But I won't tell you who he is.

This drama is all about Fang Leng and Chai Xiao Qui falling in love, Fang Leng forgetting his girlfriends, fighting his amnesia, regaining his memories,  Xiao Qui finding her annunciator  (communication device), final discovery of her true identity, love triangles, rivalry between brothers and final attainment of love.

The story line is alright but the drama is still fantastic and very entertaining.  Especially reactions of Xiao Qui are quite funny and quirky. Somewhere in the middle, the drama has dragged a bit when Fang Leng loses his memory. Despite of this, the drama is quite fast and eventful. Not many boring moments. Must watch drama if you are looking for light entertainment.
