Love in Contract


The concept of Contract marriage is not new in K-drama. You will find many dramas based on this theme where a couple will enter into a contract marriage, eventually fall in love and at the end take marriage vows with full heart. 

Going beyond this typical storyline, the main female lead, Choi Sang-eun, is into a profession of providing "Single Life Support". She was raised to become a perfect bride and is using these skills to the fullest in her profession. She helps people in attending to social events, family functions and poses as a perfect wife. She agrees to become a perfect wife for a limited period of time. So far she has married and divorced 12 times. She lives with Woo Kwang-nam who is one of her ex-husbands and is gay. She develops great camaraderie with him. The life goes on smoothly till she meets Jung Ji-ho and Kang Hae-Jin. 

Jung Ji-ho is a judge in a family court. He is lonely kind of person recovering from divorce with zero social skills. He is in a bit of trouble at his work place due to his a-social nature. He is already on a consultation to improve his social skills. He hired services from Sang-eun for indefinite period. It's almost 5 years since they are married and they meet thrice in a week and dine together at his place. These quiet dinners become somewhat safe haven for Sang-eun as well. 

Sang-eun decides to retire from this profession and explore her life and true love. But she is hesitating to tell Ji-ho about this decision. At the same time, famous actor Kang Hae-jin comes to stay in the same building. Later such  circumstances arise that Sang-eun ends up providing services to Kang Hae-jin. 

Alas! Good things never last for too long. The trouble starts brewing the moment she agrees to pose as a girlfriend of Kang Hae-jin. Sang-eun's identify is exposed in public and she goes through hell when her relationship records go public. 

How will Sang-eun face public wrath?? Is she really orphan? Who is Yu Mi-ho?? What was the most ambitious Project Jamie of INA group? Will Judge Jung accept her despite of public opinion? Will Jung Ji-eun get second chance with her ex-husband? What is Kang Hae-jin's true identity? Each character has his own tale to tell. 

Stay tuned to Netflix if you are curious about it. Plot is ordinary but presentation is pretty good.
