Boss and Me

Boss and Me is a quite old C-drama depicting office romance. The love story between an ordinary assistant in Finance department and a President and heir of a Conglomerate.

Feng Teng is a young President and heir in a giant Conglomerate. His parents died in a car accident and was brought up by his grand father. He has a younger sister Feng Yu who is having rare blood group. He hires an assistant in Finance department with the same blood group so that she can donate blood to his sister whenever required.

Xue Shanshan is a fresh graduate from University and is hired in Wind Group as assistant in Finance department. There is nothing special about her except her blood group. She is staying in Shanghai with her cousins. She is a simple and kind hearted girl.

Once during an emergency Shanshan is asked to donate blood to Feng Yu. Instead of repaying this kindness by paying cheque, Feng Yu decides to send Shanshan home cooked boxed lunch everyday. Feng Teng is moved by the simplicity and kindness of Shanshan and insists on having lunch with her everyday. But the news spreads in the company like a wild fire and Shanshan becomes the target of office gossip.

Its easy to fall in love but it's difficult to fill the social, economic, educational gap between the two families. Especially for Shanshan it's very hard. She does not have the confidence to stand next to Feng Teng and feels that she is merely sidekick of Feng Teng.

The entire drama is about office romance, bridging the invisible gap between the 2 lovers and building self confidence. Its about understanding, accepting and respecting dignity of the other person. There are many supporting characters in the show who create love triangle, jealousy and also light moments of humour.

You may find the drama a bit old fashioned. But the values we cherish do not  change. No action... No fighting... Quiet and heart warming office romance. Good to see once.
